The sounds can't be heard.

What is the appropriate volume setting?
When the volume of this product is set to the minimum, the volume on the PC side is about 30 to 40% (It may vary depending on the PC model). Please adjust the volume appropriately. For smartphones, 50%~60% volume is recommended.

When turning the power on / off, connecting / disconnecting the audio cable, or playing a sound source for the first time, please do so after turning down the volume.

The sound source cannot be purchased individually. One ID is issued for each product, so please login to the auscultation portal site with the issued ID and use the sound source.

Can this product(kikuzo)play a commercially available auscultation sound CD?
This product(kikuzo)has been developed on the premise of being used for playing auscultation portal sound sources. It is not recommended to use it as a commercially available CD player because it is out of scope.
However, because of the Kikuzo’s special feature of playing only the frequency band of the auscultation sound and cancels high-frequency sounds such as electronic noises, the sound may be clearer than when using earphones or headphones.
What types of sounds are available on the auscultation portal site?
A wide variety of typical auscultation sounds such as heart sounds, lung sounds, and bowel sounds, both normal and abnormal sounds are available, with the sound sources and descriptions.
Stethoscope quiz is also available for auscultation training.

I could feel the noise coming from the desk on which the product is placed. Is there a way to reduce noise?
As a noise prevention measure, soundproof rubber feet are attached to the back of this product. If you are concerned about noise, place a mat or something similar between the product and desk to reduce vibration.
Can I share my auscultation portal ID with others?
You cannot share your ID with other people.
One ID is issued for each unit, so please check the terms of use posted on this website and use the product properly.
Can I listen to the sound without a stethoscope?
You can hear the sound by placing your ear directly on the acoustic silicon part, but the sound supervision is done using a stethoscope. It is not recommended to use the product without a stethoscope.
I connected this product for the first time after purchase, but no sound is heard.
Check that the batteries are set and the power is turned on, and that the supplied audio cable is connected properly and securely.

What is iPax?
IPax is the virtual auscultation simulator. You can study auscultation using a PC, and it can be used for

How to use

It says "1 license is required for 1 PC". Is it okay for everyone to use 1 unit?
This system can only be used on a PC that has been registered as a user. Therefore, if you want to
register as a user on your own PC, you need to sign a license for each other. If you prepare a dedicated PC and register as a user on that PC, you can share and use that. However, please do not use it on the
shared computer installed on campus.In the case of a shared computer on campus, it is often set so
that the browser cannot be cached, in which case this system will not be available.
About the "test", how can we do that?
Exam questions can be displayed in this system. Exam questions are only available once, and you can
have any number of choices and answer time limits for each question.
The test results are recorded on the server and only the administrator can view the results. The
management screen is provided by a separate contract.

About the actual usage of iPax (screen, volume, etc.)

What are the alphabets "A", "P", "T" and "M" on the precordial screen?
"A", "P", "T", and "M" are buttons for the aortic valve site (2RSB), pulmonary valve site (2LSB),
tricuspid
valve site (4LSB), and mitral valve site (Apex), respectively.When you press the button, the chestpiece
moves to that part and you can hear the sound of that part.
Can we auscultate only the precordium?
You can also auscultate the back.Press the arrow next to the left shoulder to switch between the
precordium and back.
What should I do if I can’t hear the sound?
Press the circular arrow (refresh) button at the bottom left of the screen. The sound source file is reset
and you can listen to the sound again.
I think the sound is small.
Check the volume of your computer and the volume of Kikuzo.When the volume of the computer is 50
to 60%, the volume of Kikuzo is set to the minimum so that it can be heard at the same volume as the
living body.If the surrounding environment is noisy or you feel the volume is low, increase the volume of Kikuzo. If the volume does not increase even if you turn up the volume of Kikuzo, replace the battery
Kikuzo with a new one.
If you want to output a pulse from Kikuzo, set the volume of Kikuzo to maximum.
Where can I find palpation content for blood pressure measurements?
Select "Palpation" from the "Category, Drop-down Menu" on the "Library" page. The content of the
blood pressure exercise is displayed, where palpation and auscultation cases are available.
When using this content, please connect two Kikuzo to using the L / R branch cable. Please maximize
the volume of Kikuzo on the palpation method side and minimize the volume of Kikuzo on the
auscultation method side.
I want to palpate with Kikuzo, but I can’t touch the pulse or thrill.
For pulse or thrill, turn Kikuzo’s volume dial to maximum. A good computer volume is 50-60%, but if you still can’t touch it, replace the Kikuzo battery with a new one.
I don’t know how to palpate the pulse.
When two Kikuzo units are connected, a pulse is output from the black terminal side. When the volume
is maximized, the silicon part on the top of Kikuzo vibrates like a pulse. Palpate with your finger lightly
(please note that pressing hard will make it difficult to touch).
Regarding the connection method, connect the "L / R branch cable" to the personal computer, and
connect Kikuzo to each of the L side and R side. You can touch the pulse and thrill by maximizing the
Kikuzo volume on the pulse side (black terminal side). Make sure that the terminals are firmly connected
and that the batteries are not old before using.
It takes time to load the case with iPax. Why?
Many sound sources are placed in iPax. The PC reads and plays those sounds.If the communication is
delayed or the computer is busy, the reading time will be longer.We recommend a computer memory of 16MB or more to improve the iPax usage environment. If you have a low-spec computer, it will take
some time to load. If it is difficult to change the computer, please contact us as we will change to a case with less load on the computer (auscultation time is short and there is no pulse function).
Can iPax be used on smartphones and tablets?
Student content (iPax cases without pulse function in a short time) can be used on smartphones and
tablets. It can be used on both Android and iOS.

Power / Battery / LED

Power does not turn on
Check that the battery is inserted correctly and that the battery has not run out.
When the power is turned on, the power indicator LED lights. If the power indicator LED does not light, the battery may not be set correctly or the battery may have run out. Insert a new battery in the correct orientation and check if it works.

If the power does not turn on even after performing the above operations, there is a possibility of product failure. Please contact your dealer in this case.

If it is within one year of purchase, we will check if it is eligible for free repair.
How long is the usage time when a new battery is inserted?
The battery life for continuous use is about 50 hours for manganese batteries and about 100 hours for alkaline batteries.
Turn off the power when not in use. If you are not going to use the device for a long period of time, we recommend that you remove the batteries.
The LED does not light up when the switch is turned on.
Check that the batteries are set and working. Also, check if the battery has been inserted correctly.

If all of the above is confirmed and the LED still doesn’t light up, contact your dealer. If the product is
covered by the free repair policy within the warranty period, it will be repaired free of charge by the
dealer where you purchased it.

What is the best way to carry the product when I want to take it with me?
Carry the product so that pressure is not applied to the acoustic silicon part.
Because the silicon part is delicate, it can be damaged if pressure is applied.
The acoustic silicon is dirty. What should I do to clean it?
Use mild detergent and wipe with a tightly wrung cloth.
Do not use alcohol substances when cleaning the silicone part. Do not use alcohol swabs either.
Be careful not to press hard or use sharp objects when cleaning the silicone part.

About breakdown / repair

What is the warranty period?
One year from the date of purchase.

The product was submerged in water and the sound can’t be heard. Could it be repaired?

If the sound does not come out due to submersion in water, it cannot be repaired.

It is using electronic components, and submersion in water may have caused problems in the circuits.

Please refrain from using the product while it is wet, as it may lead to a serious accident such as electric shock, catching fire, etc. Do not disassemble and repair by yourself.

Problems caused by submersion are not covered by the warranty, even if it is within the warranty
period.
I was submerged it and no longer sounded. Can you repair it?
If the sound does not sound due to submersion, it cannot be repaired.
It is using electronic components, and it is considered that the circuit is abnormal due to submersion.

I want to replace the parts myself. Can I buy individual parts?
We do not sell parts only. If you purchase and replace the parts by yourself, the warranty will not be
honored even if a problem occurs.

This product (kikuzo) cannot record sound.

Electronic stethoscopes are not recommended for use of this product (because it is more complicated
to adjust the volume and set up the electronic stethoscope). It is recommended to use a regular analog stethoscope.
Is this product a medical device?
No, it is not a medical device. This product is a speaker (sound device) for auscultation learning and is
not a medical device.
I would like to listen to the sound using Kikuzo. Do you have a demonstration device?

Can I use iPax on a shared PC?
No, you cannot use the service on a shared PC.

In the case of shared computers, the cache is often set to be deleted when the computer is shut down.

In this case, the registered user information is not retained and the user cannot log in the next time the
PC is started.

Therefore, shared PCs are not eligible for this service.
